125g Butter
1 packet of Vanilla Sugar
800g Sugar
1 Egg
50 g Cornstarch
200g Flour
50 g Coarsely Grated Dark Chocolate
2 tbsp Cocoa Powder
0.5 tsp Ground Cloves
0.5 tsp Ground Cinnamon
Sugar for dipping
Mix the butter, vanilla sugar, sugar and egg until foamy. Mix together the cornstarch, flour, chocolate shavings, cocoa and spices. Stir in half, knead in the rest. Chill the dough for about 1 hour. Then roll out between cling film to a thickness of 6mm. Make grooves in the surface with a fork. Cut out squares or any form you want. Press the top in coarse sugar and place on a baking tray lined with baking paper. Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C (top/bottom heat) for about 10-15 minutes.
